Our History

Cathedral Rock was founded by C. Kent Harrington in 1998 and is based in Fort Worth, Texas. Believing in building a company based on Integrity, Service and Teamwork, Mr. Harrington began seeking out others who would join him in emphasizing those principles in every management decision, large or small, through leadership, motivation and inspiration. As such, our management team strives to provide quality care for our Residents and an uplifting, positive environment in which to work. Our Residents and their quality of life come first. Close behind is the company’s second priority – our staff and true fulfillment in their jobs by helping those Residents have the best care possible.

From the beginning over 13 years ago, focus was placed on acquiring and/or developing a portfolio of properties, varying from Skilled Nursing to Assisted Living to Independent Congregate facilities. The company now manages 15 properties. Cathedral Rock has carried its founding principles and core values into every endeavor, from developing an Assisted Living facility in Hilton Head, South Carolina, to taking on struggling properties that have benefited from Cathedral Rock’s approach to Resident care and employee management. Today, we operate in Texas and New Mexico.

Cathedral Rock’s managed communities have changed over the years, as some properties were sold to new owners and others came into the portfolio from new sources. We remain constant in our goal to seek out additional facilities in strategic locations throughout the Southwestern United States.
